Surgery and implants

Dental implant surgery can be a great alternative to dentures or bridges that don’t fit well in the mouth, and it’s also a good choice when the lack of natural tooth roots doesn’t allow for dentures or bridges.

The way implant surgery is performed depends on the type and condition of the jawbone. Cosmetic dental surgery may involve several stages. The main advantage of implants is that they provide solid support for the new tooth – a process that requires the bone to heal properly around the implant. Since bone healing takes time, the process can take months.

This surgery is usually performed on an outpatient basis and is done in several stages, which are in between the stages of recovery and healing. The process of placing a dental implant includes several stages, which are:

Bone growth and healing
Removal of the damaged tooth
Implantation of the dental implant
Placement of the base tooth
Placement of the denture
Preparation of the jawbone and, if necessary, bone grafting
According to the individual’s conditions, some of these stages can be combined with any.

The entire process may take months, most of which is dedicated to recovery and healing and waiting for new bone growth in the jaw.
